Self Care Is The Best Care



This is the time to make yourself better at anything you please. Whether it is related to your physical health, mental health, social environment, or career........YOU CAN DO IT!

Read. Read a lot. Reading is probably the best investment of time ever. Devote 30 minutes per day to reading . Ideally, always have a book with you. 



Practice daily mindfulness. Mindfulness is our ability to pay attention to the present moment with curiosity and without judgment. Mindfulness can be cultivated through a formal practice like meditation and/or we can bring mindful attention to our daily activities. 


Exercise on the regular. I can make an entire blog post on regular exercise but I'll keep it short and sweet. Exercising releases endorphins, making you feel happy and positive about yourself. Don't we all want that? Try out a new fitness routine, go for a walk during your lunch break, dance while cooking dinner. The goal is to get moving, SO START MOVING. 

Mind Your Daily Water Intake. Skipping water does more than leave you thirsty. It takes a toll on your skin, energy, and digestive system. To find out how much water you should drink each day click HERE. Keep in mind that while other drinks count toward your daily fluid intake, caffeine actually causes your body to dehydrate faster.

Surround Yourself With Positive People. I understand cutting negative relationships out your life is difficult but if they are not helping you they are harming you. We are able to pick our tribe, why not choose deliberately and intentionally? Spending time with smart, driven, positive people is uplifting. Positivity is contagious.
